Last Updated on 28th January 2025

This document outlines the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy for Dittofi Ltd, providing a standardized process for copyright holders to submit claims of copyright infringement or counter notices regarding content on our platform.

Overview of the DMCA

The DMCA establishes a formal process for copyright owners to request the removal of infringing content. More information about the DMCA can be found on the U.S. Copyright Office’s official website.

Note: This policy and any guidance provided herein are not legal advice. We strongly encourage you to consult a legal professional for advice regarding your specific situation.

Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work is being used without authorization on the Dittofi platform, you can submit a DMCA takedown notice. To process your claim, we require the following information:

  1. Your Physical or Electronic Signature:

    • Typing your full name suffices for an electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work:

    • Provide a clear description or a link to the original copyrighted work.
  3. Identification of the Infringing Material:

    • Specify the infringing content and its location on our platform (e.g., a URL).
  4. Your Contact Information:

    • Include your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. Good Faith Statement:

    • A declaration that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. Accuracy and Authority Statement:

    • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information you’ve provided is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

You can send your DMCA notice via email or physical mail:

Email: support@dittofi.com
Mailing Address:
Dittofi Ltd
91a Parrys Lane
Bristol, United Kingdom
BS9 1AN

For faster processing, we recommend sending your notice via email with all required information included in plain text within the email body.

Counter Notices

If your content has been removed due to a DMCA takedown notice and you believe this was done in error, you have the right to submit a counter notice.

To file a counter notice, you must provide:

  1. A statement under penalty of perjury that the content was mistakenly removed or misidentified.
  2. Identification of the material removed and its original location before takedown.
  3. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the court in your area and agreeing to accept service of process from the complainant.
  5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send your counter notice to the same email or mailing address listed above.

Important Notes

  • Thorough Investigation: Filing a DMCA notice is a serious legal matter. Ensure you’ve investigated whether the content is truly infringing before filing.
  • No Automated Submissions: Takedown requests must be reviewed by a trained professional. Automated bots submitting bulk requests are discouraged.
  • Reinstatement of Content: If a counter notice is filed, Dittofi will restore the content within 14 days unless the original complainant initiates legal action to prevent its use.

Dittofi Ltd’s Role

Our role is to ensure all DMCA claims meet the minimum requirements. We do not evaluate the validity of the claims, as this responsibility lies with the involved parties and their legal representatives.

By submitting a DMCA notice or counter notice to Dittofi, you acknowledge that the information provided may be shared with the opposing party as part of the resolution process.
